"I purchased this Cord Hawker to replace a prior Kangol hat that I purchased about 15 years ago. Unfortunately, I've worn that hat out. It was more of a ""poor boy"" or ""newsboy"" style hat. I would have preferred to replace my old hat with an identical Kangol hat. . . same style, same color as my old one, but did not find that same hat style nor the same color in your inventory. This Cord Hawker was the closest hat I could find to my old hat. This Cord Hawker is an acceptable interim replacement, but I do not like the style of the hat as much as I like my older hat. The Cord Hawker is not the ""floppy"" style Kangol hat like the old one I have. It is shaped and is not amenable to change. It also has a very narrow front brim. The ""floppy"" style of my old Kangol allowed me to place the hat differently (and comfortably) on my head to create different looks. The brim of my old hat extended farther forward than this Cord Hawker, so my old hat provides more face protection from the elements. I loved the style and fit of my old hat and received compliments on it all the time. Many men wanted to have my hat because it did look so good and wore great. This Cord Hawker fits well, but the design limits how it can be worn. It looks good, but its color is several shades darker than my old Kangol. I wish I could submit pictures of both hats for you to appreciate the difference. Unfortunately, I do not know how to attach pictures to this review. Perhaps I'll get the same compliments with this Cord Hawker. However, I'd have preferred to replace my old worn out Kangol with an identical Kangol rather than settle for this Cord Hawker substitute."
